The miserly owner of an old counting house, ebeneezer Scrooge, is seen by the ghost of the dead business partner, Jacob Marley, on Christmas Eve. Marley warns Scrooge from three ghosts who'll see him during the nighttime. The Ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Christmas Yet to Come show Scrooge his mean behavior has oppressed those on him since they see episodes. By the end Scrooge redeemed and is humbled and transforms into a generous, kind-hearted man.
